In 1959, almost 60 years ago, Jean Cocteau settled in Baumanière to shoot “Le testament d’Orphée” in the quarries of Les Baux de Provence. He had given to Raymond Thuilier, the founder of the Oustau de Baumanière, a drawing to thank him for welcoming him in his property.
The design became emblematic of our house and Brandon Dehan, our Pastry Chef imagined a Christmas log as a Rock des Baux engroved with the drawing of Jean Cocteau.
Brandon Dehan suggests you to share this story with your friends and family at your table for your end-of-year celebrations.
Crispy with roasted chestnuts, brown biscuit, cooked-raw pineapple confit, creamy vanilla from Madagascar and chestnut mousse will awaken your taste buds to finish off your festive meal.
